18 Holes, 140 Acres and a Few Familiar Species
Safari Golf Club’s 18-hole, par-72 course stretches across 140 acres and offers a challenge for golfers of different skill levels. The course includes five holes designed by renowned course architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan.
As you make your way around the course, you may notice names including the Cheetah, Giraffe, Rhino, Monarch Butterfly and Hellbender. Each of Safari Golf Club’s 18 holes is named for an animal species connected to conservation work supported by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and The Wilds. Some names even have a connection to the hole itself. Hole 2, the Giraffe, is the longest hole on the course. Hole 14, the Monarch Butterfly, sits near Safari Golf Club’s butterfly waystation. And Hole 18, the Hellbender, is located near a small creek.
