* Day 1

 

Arrive at Paris-Charles De Gaulle Airport – Welcome by personal representative who will assist you with the luggage and drive you to your Paris hotel. 

 

Welcome cocktail at the hotel. 

2 nights accommodations, including breakfast, at the Saint James Hotel, a luxury neo-classical style hotel situated in the very exclusive 16th arrondissement close to the Champs Elysées and Arc de Triumph. Set in a private garden (which is exceptional in the heart of Paris), this magnificent hundred-year-old château invites you to indulge in its club atmosphere, and the warmly designed rooms and junior suites offer calm and comfort as well as space and light.

*Day 2

 

Golf at Paris International Club golf course

Located 15 miles from Paris, the Paris International Club is the only golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus in France.   With its impeccable fairways and manicured greens, the Paris

 

International Golf Club is one of the highest quality courses in the Paris area. It is also a very exclusive golf country club, member of ClubCorp, featuring an outstanding traditional clubhouse and facilities.

* Day 3

 

Transfer to Loire valley with golf on the way:

 

Golf at Les Bordes International Golf Club.

Les Bordes is an international class golf course consistently ranked among the top five in Europe.

On this championship golf course, the water shimmers on 12 of the 18 holes in the heart of the Sologne forest making a real challenge even for the best players.

 

The experience of playing les Bordes is definitely something any golfer will treasure.

 

Non-golfers:

Visit of Château de Blois

During more than four centuries, a succession of Kings and Queens of France made this royal residence one of the great masterpieces of French architecture. Louis XII rebuilt his château incorporating the late Gothic style with Italian art. François the 1st built a new wing with its famous staircase tower and façade. Catherine de Medicis and her son Henri III often resided here during the second half of the 16th century. Gaston d’Orléans, exiled in Blois, gave the château its classical wing.

 

4 nights accommodation, including breakfast, at Château d’Artigny, a grandiose eighteen-century style castle located in the heart of the Loire Valley and near the Vouvray wineries.  Set in a 65 acre estate, the Château d’Artigny offers palatial bedrooms to its guests and an opulent dining room that overlook magnificent formal gardens.

* Day 4

 

Guided tour of Château de Chenonceau and Amboise.

Château de Chenonceau is a jewel of French Renaissance built in 1513 by Thomas Bohier, François the 1st Intendant of Finance. 

This castle is now worldwide renowned for its five-arched bridge over the Cher river and was devoted to many Kings’ wives, who inspired the magnificent gardens in the front of the castle.

 

Amboise is one of the cities of the Val de Loire region with the most ancient history because of its particular geographic location.  Amboise's castle was added to the king's possessions in 1434 and became a royal residence where François the 1st invited Leonardo da Vinci in 1516. Leonardo da Vinci was buried in the castle’s chapel.

Amboise is today a wonderful village along the Loire River featuring traditional crafts stores in the narrow streets surrounding the château as well as excellent traditional restaurants and cafes.

 

Wine tasting visit at Caves de Monmousseau – sample the fine wines of the region.

 

Suggested dinner in Amboise at Le Manoir Saint Thomas, an excellent historical restaurant that serves superb traditional food in a medieval atmosphere.

Visit to Château de Cheverny

Cheverny castle is the most magnificently furnished château in the Loire Valley.  Cheverny boasts magnificent, intact furnishings dating back to the Louis XIII epoch, paintings by old masters, and Flemish tapestries.

Located in a country celebrated for its traditions and gentle way of life, Cheverny Golf Course offers an abundance of forest, lakes, and open countryside in the old hunting Domain de Cheverny.

Visit to Clos Luce

Leonardo Da Vinci spent the last three years of his life painting and working at the Château du Clos Luce. This wonderful property has been perfectly restored with its stonewalls, fireplaces, beams, and frescoes recreating the atmosphere which prevailed at the Renaissance time. Also see Leonardo Da Vinci, the engineer, through a remarkable collection of 40 machines he invented that were four centuries ahead of their time illustrating his extraordinary genius as a visionary.

Guided tour of Château de Chambord

The château de Chambord is the largest castle in France with its 440 rooms and one of the loveliest Renaissance castles in the Loire valley.

 

Cooking class at Domaine de la Tortinière

In the heart of Touraine region and its famous Douceur de Vivre, Olivier and Anne Olivereau will share their culinary secrets of their preparation through first hand experience in a 3 hour cooking lesson, including  wine pairing discussions and tasting.

* Day 7

 

Transfer to Paris/Orly airport (2h) – flight from Orly airport to Nice Airport (1,5h) – transfer to Four Seasons Provence (1h)

* Day 8

 

Golf at the Four Seasons - Provence Terre Blanche golf courses: two championship courses to choose from,  winding through pine and oak-clad hills and valleys, providing golfers with sweeping views of neighboring villages and the Southern Alps. Dave Thomas, the architect, has designed what is now considered 2 of the best courses on the French Riviera.

 

 

Le Riou course (only available to guests staying at the Four Seasons Hotel) is more technical, with its narrow and hilly fairways surrounded by many bunkers and doglegs almost on all par 4 and par 5.

Le Château course is a long course featuring fantastic views and several water hazards, which test the ability of the more advanced golfer.

Afternoon sightseeing in St.-Tropez and Gassin

St. Tropez is a wonderful seaside village with legendary reputation for both quality of life and its architecture including the fortified citadel. Saint-Tropez attracts many celebrities on their luxury yachts every summer.

 

The small village of Gassin is like a jewel poised on its green mat.   As far as the eye can see, the deep blue Mediteranian Sea contrasts with the tender green of forest and vineyards shared by no less than seven wine domains and the "chateau".

After contemplating this unique panorama,  stroll leisurely through the historical, winding streets adorned with flowers.

* Day 10

 

Golf at Cannes Mougins Golf Club

Opened in 1923, the Cannes Country Club was founded by prestigious members such as Prince Pierre de Monaco, Aga Kahn, and Baron Edouard de Rothschild.

This sumptuous parkland course surrounded by oaks, pine-trees, and fields of jasmine has hosted the European PGA tour, with famous winners such as Greg Norman or Seve Ballesteros.

 

Non golfers:

Sightseeing in the former middle age fortified village of Mougins.  Perched 900 feet above sea level, this wonderful Provencal village overlooking Cannes and the Riviera has attracted many artists such as Francis Picabia, a surrealist painter, and Picasso who lived here for many years. Renowned for its floral parks, Mougins is made of tiny streets winding around in a spiral and is the perfect place for arts and craft shopping.

Afternoon sightseeing in Grasse

Grasse is famous as the world capital of perfumes. Its unique historic heritage has made it a rare example of well preserved medieval architecture, while Fragonard, one of its native sons, brought its international culture renown. Many great perfumes, including Chanel’s renowned N°5 have been elaborated here.

 

Visit and shopping in Cannes

Cannes and La Croisette, site of the worldwide known movie Festival, symbolizes elegance, prestige and sophistication. Its lovely harbour hosts some of the most exclusive yachts in the world. If Cannes is a terrific place for shopping, this glamour seaside resort is also famous for its beaches and casinos.

* Day 11

 

Sightseeing in Saint-Paul de Vence, a tiny Provencal village famous for its painting galleries and located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cap d’Antibes, the Alps, and the Esterel Mountains.

 

Sightseeing in Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is heaven for lovers of luxury and sophistication.  The cream of jewellers, designers and perfumers all have shops here.  There are also numerous shops and boutiques where visitors can find either traditional or more unusual gifts. Monte Carlo is also worldwide renowned for its casino in front of l’Hotel de Paris and the castle/home of the Renier family.

This is a private tour based on a ‘flexi-plan’ that allows you to choose: the date of departure, who you tour with, and customize the itinerary to fit your personal wishes.  Rates will be quoted accordingly.

Five Star *****- starting at $5,770 per person, 4 traveling, double occupancy

Four Star****  - starting at $4,975 per person, 4 traveling, double occupancy

 

Pricing includes the above itinerary and the Four Star tour using the following accommodations:

Attention: the hotels, golf courses, and visits indicated in the program are subject to availability according to the clients’ travelling time.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. PRICES

Prices are based on present currency exchange rates and are subject to adjustments until final payment is received.

 

2. RESERVATIONS

All reservations must be made in writing (letter, fax, e-mail) and become valid once the client has signed the Participants Agreement and paid the deposit.

 

3. PAYMENT

Payment will be done as follows:

* 20% down with the reservation

* The remainder, 60 days before departure date

If the registration is done less than 60 days before departure date, the full price is due immediately.

 

4. CANCELLATION

Cancellations by the client must be in writing to Nakker International and are subject to the following forfeit of cost per person:

* Cancellation 60 days or more before departure date: 20% of the package value

* Cancellation between 60 and 30 days before departure date: 50% of the package value

* Cancellation less than 30 days before departure date: 100% of the package value

 

5. MODIFICATIONS

Any modifications asked for by the client less than 45 days before departure date will only be possible if the various service providers (hotels, restaurants, golf clubs) are able to comply. Otherwise, any requested modifications could be considered as a cancellation and would be subject to the above mentioned cancellation policy.

 

6. LIABILITY

Nakker International will not assume responsibility for any delay or damage to or loss of property or injury to or death of persons due to transportations (rental car, motor coach, railroad, air flight, or any other conveyances), or due to suppliers (accommodations, golf courses, restaurants), or due to any other external reasons (strikes, weather conditions, etc).

 

7. TRAVEL INSURANCE 

There will be no refunds for any unused portions of the package.  Travel Insurance is highly recommended.

 

8. PLAYING GOLF

The client acknowledges having the necessary golf skills for playing on the programmed courses.

The client plays golf on the course solely under his own responsibility towards others and equipment.

Nakker International cannot be held responsible if the golf course cannot be used because of weather conditions or a tournament organized by the golf club.

Nakker International cannot be held responsible if there is litigation between the client and the golf club in case of theft, loss or damage of equipment.

 

9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment by the client means full acceptance, by the client, of the above-mentioned terms and conditions
